Job Description:

The Tri-North team is looking for an eager, resourceful Shop & Yard Assistant to provide support to our Milwaukee shop and yard operations. This position reports to the Shop & Yard Operations Manager. As a Shop & Yard Assistant with Tri-North you will be expected to assist in delivery of equipment, tools, supplies, and materials to and from job sites, maintaining the shop and yard, tools, equipment, supply maintenance, and some general maintenance of shop yard and office.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated with a strong sense of integrity and a general knowledge of construction processes and equipment. You will be expected to work independently while abiding by all OSHA, Federal Motor Carrier, and Tri-North safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment at all times. The candidate we’re looking for will have to ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with vendors, clients, and Tri-North personnel, as well as a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Accurate and efficient delivery of equipment, tools, materials, and supplies to and from job sites and supplier locations
  • Clean, organize, and inventory shop and yard
  • Clean, maintain, and inspect all equipment, tools, and supplies to aid in longevity of use
  • Perform general maintenance of shop yard, and office, including snow plowing
  • Communicating and working with Superintendents, Project Managers, Field Operation Managers, and other Tri-North personnel
Requirements:
  • Must have and maintain a class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds
  • Must be willing to above and beyond job description to fill needs as they arise
  • Must maintain a professional appearance, including but not limited to personal attire, demeanor, and in utilizing company-owned vehicles and equipment
