Contracts Administrator

Job Description:

As a full-service construction management firm working in all 50 states, Tri-North’s specialized in-house services span all phases of the construction process. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for oversight and management of all contracts that come through the company. Working in conjunction with our in-house attorney, the Contracts Administrator will draft and process subcontracts, purchase orders, and owner contracts. This individual is also responsible for maintaining a database of contract revisions, managing our electronic filing system and electronic signature program, and assisting with prequalification documents.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience processing multiple contracts at a time and maintaining a contract database. This individual will be able to work collaboratively and multi-task, while taking ownership of multiple computer programs related to contracts. The ideal candidate will be proactive and collaborative, and will take the time to ensure details are correct

Responsibilities Include:
  • Create and send out subcontracts and purchase orders for all company projects throughout the United States
  • Oversee the return of all subcontracts in a timely manner and work with subcontractors to ensure all documents are returned in a timely manner
  • Control versions of subcontracts for review by the legal department
  • Draft and process owner contracts, including coordination of the same with the legal and project management teams
  • Manage database of approved contract revisions
  • Link subcontractors to various company programs
  • Assist with qualification forms and documents
  • Request bonds as needed
  • Provide other administrative support as needed
  • Plan ahead to prevent issues and resolve any emerging
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits/licenses
  • Analyze, manage, mitigate risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with construction contracts is a plus
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and a problem-solving team player with strong work ethic.
  • Must have the ability to work under minimal supervision, apply rigorous analytical skills in support of construction projects, and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires interaction with various staff, the candidate must exhibit strong interpersonal skills in addition to analytical and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks
